Dental Sense, your local denture clinic
At Dental Sense Midland we are able to make you a new or replacement set of full upper and lower, immediate or partial dentures. We can also make them in a range of materials, including chrome-cobalt base
Denture treatment is both material and time intensive, involves laboratory support and encompasses two broad categories.
Complete Removable replacements for fully edentulous patients, complete dentures can be fabricated with a variety of designs and from a range of materials and techniques, including acrylic, gold, chrome-cobalt and titanium. Immediate dentures are those issued at the time of dental extraction. Dentures can be either tissue, tooth and / or implant supported, the latter commonly referred to as ‘overdentures’.
Partial Removable replacements for partially edentulous patients, partial dentures can also be fabricated with a variety of designs and from a range of materials and techniques, including acrylic, gold, chrome-cobalt and titanium. Immediate partial dentures are those issued at the time of dental extraction and commonly serve as a provisional replacement prior to either fixed partial prostheses or transition to a complete denture.
Course of Action
At Dental Sense we will initially complete comprehensive clinical and radiographic examination, obtaining mounted diagnostic casts and wax-up where necessary, to facilitate assessment and treatment planning. In the case of implant-supported restorations, additional specialist consultation with either a Periodontist or Maxillofacial Surgeon will be necessary.
What are the alternatives to Dentures?
In some cases implants may be an alternative to dentures or partial dentures. With the advancement in implants over the years they can be used to replace a single tooth, bridge multiple teeth or even cover the full mouth with All-On-4. However not everyone will be suitable for this type of treatment.
